CCR: All Thanks to Grandma

Image
Not going to lie it was fun editing this, fun but tired some because it takes time lol. Enjoy watching me talking to my fish. My fish's name is Ottoman btw he's very pretty please appreciate him, he tried his best in this. Apparently, I had a lot to say since I had to cut a lot, the original videos without editing would have added up to 19 minutes. I know for a fact you don't want to hear me talk for 19 minutes. My throat started hurting after recording, I don't talk that much on a daily basis. Enjoy. Q uestion 1 How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups o r issues? Question 2 How does your product engage with audiences and how would it be distributed as a real media text? Question 3 How did your production skills develop throughout this project? Question 4  How did you Intreguate technology in this project?

Final Task: All Thanks to Grandma

Omg. I have finished. I have done it. I would like to thank my parents, my fish for being right next to me at all times, my dog for always being with me while filming, my phone for suffering from the amount of space it took for this whole thing, and of course, my plushies.  Im not going to lie, this was fun, trying to act, doing my make-up, trying to set up the angle, everything was fun. It kinda made me realize what I wanted to do for life and I think I'll be going into film making, maybe being the one behind the camera or the one creating the props. I think it'll be fun!! Anyways but yea it was quite fun, it also made me consider joining Level A for next year even if ill be done with my Cambridge diploma this year but I still wanna do it!! Even though I cringe and laugh at myself watching the film, I really hope Cambridge enjoys it with a good cup of tea.  Hope they can somewhat guess who I am through my work like every artwork does to the artist. In the end, Hope you enjoy w

Finishing editing!! Finallyyyyyy

Image
Ok, so im finishing editing! Yayy finally the last blog.  Ok After putting all the clips of each Scene together creating each individual scene, I counted all the seconds that each scene had, and omg it was 160 which equals to about 2 minutes and 40 seconds. So I started looking in each scene file things to delete and such but after deleting minor things and making a few clips shorter it was still a bit long.  Nonetheless, I started putting scenes together, first, I put scenes 1 and 2 together to see how it'd turn out! It turned out good, I needed to add extra stuff though. I did the voice-over for Scene 2 which was great, then I went to Giphy.com to find some gifs to add as an extra spice to the scene, I used a raining hearts gif and a sparkle one! They only lasted less than half a second so I just copied and pasted it over and over on the parts I wanted it to be. I also added blush for the froggy scene, I adjusted the size and position of the gifs by using Picture in picture, and

YAY FINISHED FILMING!!!

Image
I've finally fully finished filming, I fished on Saturday so yayyy! I'm honestly so happy that I was able to finish! Now I'm going to use this whole week to edit and I'm positive I should be done! I kinda don't trust this though so I presume ill be refilming a few clips I don't think I'll have to refilm a whole scene.  But about editing, now I can use my whole time to do it. To be honest, I've been really stressed working on this and putting all my free time to do so, I have a few classes to study for but I haven't been able to due to this project. In the end, I don't mind because I want this to be an easy passing grade for my Cambridge diploma.  Anyways today I started editing most scenes. I first started editing them on my phone, cutting out parts that'd make the films longer than needed. Then I sent them through Gmail and downloaded them. After that I put them in rows to know which clip goes after the other, I looked back and forth on my s

I FILMED SCENE 3 AND 5 :DDDD

Image
YAYYYY I FILMED SCENE 3 AND 5. NOT ALL OF THEM BUT MOST, MOST! One of the most annoying this that I've noticed about filming is making the make-up look the same as previous days of filming. Since I need to look like I cried I need to have mascara running down my face, fun fact: My mascara isn't as runny so im using eyeliner when it's still liquidy. I pour water on my face to have the mascara running down effect but I've noticed each pour isn't the same, so the next thing I did was get a Q-tip! I put a bit of liquid eyeliner, put my Q-tip in, dip it in water and draw the line of 'crying mascara streak' down my cheek and around my eyes to make them look darker. I'm quite proud of it, to be honest, the other thing I did was get red eyeshadow, dip my brush a little shaking access eyeshadow powder off, and blended it on my nose, eyes, and cheeks. Since I have fair skin, most fair-skinned people's eyes and nose get red, I also did my cheeks cause some peo

Figuring out ideas and continuing editing!

Ok so for Scene 2 I re-shot the clips with better lighting and everything! First problem: I couldn't send some of the videos due to them being too large of size for Gmail to send. I solved this by editing the videos on my phone by cutting out unimportant parts. Some clips were still too big so I just sent them to my drive. I have also filmed parts of scene 4 in which I had done the same processes.  I downloaded each file and sorted it out by 'Scene 2 - #' the # representing its position in the 2nd scene. I also named all the clips like that according to what they are, for example for scene 4 clips I named them 'Scene 4 - #'. On my desktop, I also put each clip on top of each other so that'd it'd be easier for me to transfer into Imovie.  Back to editing, I started to edit Scene 2, again, the first time I was putting all the clips in and Imovie crashed on me. Must've been too large of a file so I went into my files deleting anything unnecessary for more

Ok! Time to finally start editing!

Image
Ok, so I'm going to stop procrastinating and start editing! Throughout this whole year, I've always said in my blogs no matter the project how much I dislike editing. Well, the hate has gone down to dislike, so that's a plus! But I still don't like it, no matter how much I do it or practice it I will always dislike it. Hopefully, future me doesn't come back here and disagree with me.  Anyways so I started editing scene 2, I sent the videos and photos over to my Imac through my Gmail and downloaded them. But first I wanted to try something! So I got a picture of one of my favorite characters with a neon green background and a random enchanted forest background. I went to google and searched 'How to do greenscreen on Imovie and watched the video suggested, not going to lie it was such easy steps so that's what I did on a separate file of Imovie and it worked! With that trusted knowledge I deleted that file and created a new one for scene 2.  As I was doing wh
